with numerous short (to 6 in.) lateral
branches regularly placed along st.
st (even oldest part) has noticeably hairy
? or short petioles (2-3 mm) & stipules at base ?
trice as long. Calyx having very long almost
equal, awl shaped lobes. Fl had prob not been
solitary. hairs all long & spreading (not at
all appressed)
