3-2-31 Hyoseris radiata l. (See 2-25-30) Cote II #2 Fl Root west of Cas Catala in ditches. Spec seems much larger than those often seen in wallkts. Petioles to 14in, blade 3in high x 4-5cm diam.; rivet 1.5cm high. 3-2-31 Composite Very early bud. Rd west of Cas Catala, no site. Not not ch. St st not bud (L.T.S.) 6 in high, intending to grow (yards) much higher with branches, diff dying. Lower lvs (not in rivette) generally lanceolate, in outline about 5 in x 2 in, shallowly or more deely irreg. dentate, sometimes almost lobed (not at all lyrate), tapering into somewhat winged petiole 2-3 in which enlarges slightly at the upperlv. sessile clasping & enlarged auncelb at base. Long gray green, pub on face or nerves beneath but (hairs look stiff but are soft to touch). The tiny light colored midrib conspicuous above & roundet salient beneath; lateral veins making wide LS) also noticeable beneath. 3-2-31 Senista lucida Comb. (See 3-4 vs 30) Fl. Ben- dnat Potals.
