v glabrous but sparsely hairy above. Veins beneath,
prominent, light colored & pubescent. Petioles
bel vastly pubescent. Only queens is proliferante.

dr left, at entrance to gorge. Lvs in rosette (a.v.S.)
Lf. obovate (largest col. 4 x 2 1/2 in) of almost uniform
width, very of base but tip very slightly notched,
glabrous, no petioles, edges very undulate,
dark green, mid-rib very prominent beneath,
v noticeably light colored toward base above.
Could this be Ptelea latifolia (See 4-25-30) Cote I
