2-2-31 Cynosurus echinatus L (See 12-18-30)
Dead plant with seeds. Bellver. 1 8/11 in high. Packs
together v not spreading as do the lower glumes.
2-2-31? Linum striatum L (See 4-10 & 5-30 & 10-31
v 11-27-30) Cote I. 2 29. Dead plant with capsules,
seeds fallen. Bellver. Plant at once v much
taller (16 in) than common in Bellver. A few
slender branches near base (3 1/2 in long) bear
the usual compact corymbs at tops. Above these
scattered along at are slint (3/4 in) slender
branchlets apparently few-fld. The upper
5 in (?) at freely branched with stiff, spreading
not-so-slender branchlets ± 1 in long each with
usual compact corymbs at end. Whole effect
much less simple than usually found.
2-2-31? Euphorbia exigua L (See 3-30-80) Cote
III 397 no flg. Bellver. 1 3/4 in high. Almost surely
this but note that upper part of st & lower side
of youngest lvs are slightly tomentose. Lvs acute
not 3-toothed as 3-20-80.
