on ground. Lvs simple, alt, entire, oval to 1 ½ in
(? prob more) on abt glandless petioles, thickish.
Stipules, connatd & small but at frst, curved, yellow.
cal thesme St not square winged. Fr oblate
1/2 in long, green with 7-8 obscure lighter green stripes
(v. nerved). Int fr pinulate, with many red cils,
arranged in firm pulp. Seeds enclosed in thin fibe
ring (hardly fleshy) Fr solid & axillary or at
3 ½ in long, jointed & scarred at about middle (sees
show mallo of stamen etc, etc). Evidently not in
B.M.G.C.P.670.
