times a trifle shorter than the flat tipped awl-point ciliate palea. But the slender stem with many branches on lower part & the
many distal nerves, spreading needle like
leaves make ident. certain. (Query
whether this is the grass (low) that I remembered
to be like this found on mountains in Pollux's
neighborhood (let-yes?)

No flora. Bank on so-called ridge it turns from sea
(Miramar) towards Deya' (Englishman's voice heard
in house above). May be escape from garden as
seen no where else on road. Root of flora fr.
Basel bro root col. lvs. obovate 6x2mm, entire,
glabrous, shining, obtuse. Mid-vein rather
sharply prominent below; lateral veins 1-2 pairs
