ramosum Ku I 327 11-27-30 Pseudelyptodium pinnatum P.Beauv var. Fr. Bellevue bears. Clearly belongs to Tribe Festuceae because hairy ridge at summit of grain part in last div. Bar 483. This would seem to indicate Bromus but short awn of lemma is not at all below summit. St. slender to 2 ft + high. Roots not collected. Lowest 1-2 lbs consist of sheaths merely apiculate and very short filiform blades. St. lift well toward the top. Blades 2-4 in (6 in one wide shorts x 3 mm but edges rolled under so they appear filiform. Ligule membranaceous 1mm high, slightly crenate or to flat top and decurrent (at least on one side) into thin margins of sheath (i.e. base of blade narrower than top of sheath). St. sheaths blades not pubescent. Sterile inframarginal branches much less common along st., those from near base slender, 1 ft + high and short 1-1/2 in inf. Infl on main st 2-4 in of 4 (1 case) of spikelets on pedicels 1-2 mm long. Spikelets 2mm long. Flasclee B. ramosum PS Bar 5/5 Bon 370. = B pinnatum P. Beauv var ramosum Ku I 327. See Bu # 549 as to why this does not at first glance seem to belong to Tribe Hordeae = "Tribe Triticeae" Bar. (N.B. 12-19-30 when studying specimen) (2-13-30, surely means 2 cm)
