Transcription
bracts narrow, shorter than infl. Infl. with
out corolla makes glomerule about 1cm wide.
Calyx lobes beneath resmous dotted. Crushed
if with strong odor which may be penny-
royal. This seems only form in Bar.

ciliate. Upper lip & corolla practically lacking
(2 minute teeth only) so that fl. looks ligulate.
The beautifully ciliate calyx teeth are conspicuous
in bud (forming the velvety green centre of expanded
rigid head) and again in fr (making the head
look as this one of the Compositae). Corolla mucrescent.
Seed enclosed in the very hairy calyx tube.
