3-17-30 laterally - lemma terminatesawn, pub- escent at base v denticulate tip 1/5 cm. 2 more. Palea coriaceous like lemma (not con- cealed by it - see BMJCP 113). A nervs not evident but (20X) when viewed from inside seems to have thickened band down back. Stemona 3. Stigmas plumose (naked at base) at top of narrow obovate (oblanceolate) ovary. - no complete awn? ceros. Awns not as definitely geniculate as finated as desc. for? because only in fl. (See 4-15-30 3-17-30 Andropogon hirtum L (see 2-27-30) lower id genus. Awn 25-30mm (♀ being 5mm less) Note char not noticed 2-27-30 the branches (which been apicalite) are always in 2's at end of long delicate if indicated peduncle. 3-17-30 Sagina apetala L. Kurt 449, B & 67, Bor 45 R & fls. Wedingarden Hotel Cão Catala'. 1-2 cm high. Calyx ? 4 sepals (1 cm's) valvate. Seeds brown, minutely rugulose. Curl shaped lesetaceous at end. Sepals slightly hoods apex, v narrowly white margined. Peduncles not "glandularus" Sepals erect when part ofense. No sign of petals. (See 5-30-30
