ftd. 1 1/2 in tall & over homewarly along entire or
middle with few low teeth; upper ones (where at division
2) 3-lobed below middle the lateral lobes much
shorter, upper ones (just under thread where
& branches again) linear entire. Flo in dense
bracted heads, the calyx lobes standing free from
corolla with narrow hooked tips. The under part
of calyx lobes ciliate, pubescent inside. Top of vary
woolly pubescent. Calyx also long hairy at base ciliate
but most of outside of lobes smooth (See 3-20-30

3-17-30 Galium
Flo almost ripe fr. west of kinza cemetery. St not
2 mm wide, very sharply 4-angled with recurved
prickles on angles, 2nd dull dark green, in los,
oblanceolate 3/4-1 in x 3/16-1/4 in, 1-nerved, very rough
with sharp white hairs above, smooth beneath
except for recurved prickles on midrib wedges.
apex with long sharp mucron. Flo. white 2 1/2 mm.
