8-13-20 Acacia longifolia wild (See 8-10-20) Garden
& Infanta. Each fl subtended by bract similar
to the expanded top of bracts (?) above, not quite as
divis-libes. Not fragrant.
3-13-20 Donbeya
See BMJCP 498' like D. wallieii Benth & Hook except
that fls are very delicate pink. Garden & Infanta.
Tree 10-12 ft. Lvs orbicular obovate 8½ in diam, acute.
pubescent above with simple hairs, stellate hairs
inverse, beneath more softly pubescent with stellate
hairs. Petiole 5/3 in. Stipules ovate, acuminate to
1/2 in, pubescent. Peduncle 5 in with 1 or 2 bracts
(like stipules) near top. Fls in dense head with
invol of 11 obovate bracts in long. Each fl with 3 lance-
deciduous
lateral bracts ½ in long on one side just under calyx.
bracts not connected. Gardener called this (if correctly
remembered) D. amabilis. Prob the same as
seen in Bermuda at La Garza velsewhere.
Ovary pubescent.
3-13-20: Chrysanthemum anthifolium, Brouss.
BMJCP 768 Garden & Infanta. Lvs grayish green,
so considered this instead of other possibility
C. frutescens L.
