Transcription
Each cell many ovules. Stamen column
bears anthers only at top. Involved none.
Corolla bell shaped (1 1/2 in long) yellow veined red.
Lvs 3 lobed (or 5 with 2 short lobes at base), the middle
lobe much longer than the others a little larger
than the undivided part 1 1/4, acuminate not
narrowed at base. Lf cordate, smooth above &
densely to beneath; more or less stellate pubescent
beneath. Petioles slender. Calyx in length, divided
below middle, stellate pubescent. Ovary stellate
pubescent. Stigma capitate.

Garden & Infante. Heads globose, but not this time
not in B.M.J.C.P. Phyllodes to 3 in x 1/4 in acute or
acuminate. At each point where 4 phs touch the
receptacle leaf base bears a feltform organ with
pencil-like tip at apex. This distinction plainly
in bud but is covered by stamens in fl.
Very fragrant. These may be subtending bracts.
