Transcription
rudimentary, shorter than calyx in all
cases shown on this plant & about as long as
ovary when stamens ripen. Petals greenish-yellow,
iride, divided at top, scales very rudimentary.
Ovary narrowly oblong, 3X length of st. An-
siue seeds reniform, back broad & corrugated
transversely, the sides so hollowed that the backs
should possibly be called winged. Bracts
lanceolate. Calyx not at all umbilicated.
