young fr & buds. Puerto Auderai tx or toward "An-brutius". St & Sin simple but going to branch at lower nodes, pubescent with short white hairs with enlarged purple bases not appears ed as in (A). Base leaf almost in rosette, 6pale late 10 1/4 x 3/8in, often purplish, with stiffle white hairs (some with enlarged purple bases) esp beneath. Firmer than (A). Known the young branches similar green, very long ciliate at base (not linear as in (A)) Infl scorpioid 1-sided, fl almost aside, the lowest fl 1/4 in below the 2nd, the rest close together. Calyx is vineid x some wine purplish to but not the distinct handsome markings of (A). more coarsely pubescent than (A). Petals
