#194. 3-7-30 Senista lucida Camb. Kn# 60, Bar 106. Fl. nots. Corunga hill side on rd to Audsley. Shrub to about 3 ft. (perhaps more). Branched v spiny. Folio except on the short fl. branches. Bark gray v. shreddy. Branches v spines green (not shining) furrowed, more or less pubescent with short appressed white hairs. Main stems be spines v also branches which branch again again. The ultimate branchlets (1/2 in long are spine pointed v bear all spines 1/2-3/4 in long, often not more than 1/2 in apart. Old spines bear what seem at foules if at base v or fl. at young spines are growing in axils of lvs. Fl. stems at tips of branches about length of spine (a little longer) grow at base of spine on the out (down) side. Lvs about 6 mm long lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, entire, more or less covered with short appressed brown hairs as is also fl. stg. Calyx. stipules very small, joined at base with 2 short awl-shaped points. At base of flt there seem to be 2 oppsds. rather short v brood than others v a third placed between, them v or slightly above as to give effect of 3- foliate lf. The other few (2-4) brown fl.t and clearly simple v alt. v when young spines in axils. Fl. (about 4) in axils linked back on very short ped- cicles which base 2 linear st bracts at top. Calyx 5- divided to below middle into linear lobes, the
