Bellevue F.L. no refer for R+ in large, woody top sort. Smooth with shallow channels Young ray like branches starting from lower part of st. Long smooth, lighter beneath, pinnate, the raelis winged. Each pinule toothed & usually with 2 definite lobes near base. Many & raelis attached to pinule on up face side with small toothed lobe & fanule divided so that its blade is at st. Lo into this lobe blended effect of more delicate & finely cut than expected. Upper no clasping with pointed toothed ears, the very uppermost at points where infl branches consisting 3 narrow linear lobe & sagitate base. Infl branched. Invol fin- a little white proper top base a little enlarged at base, pedicels about 2 series of same length with a few smaller ones at base dark smoky green with a few gland topped hairs. Receptacle flat, naked. Achene's for B compressed, with 4 distinct long longitudinal crease & transversely wrinkled. Beardless, pappi as abundant & soft silvery white hairs dentrculation so fine as to be hardly visible (20X) (See 3-14-30)
