Transcription
L roalt, very fleshy, flattened on top, rounded
below. 3¼ x ¾ in. Leaves, sharp pointed, glaucous green
or reddish, close together & upright. Infl. at 12-16
in. naked now but with lf sears ⅓-½ length at
base. Fls cyme racemose. flrs about 2 rows
on top of branch. shortly pedicelled Capsules 6,
opened ventriday the dorsal rib terminating in
linear appendage (for style). Cannot see if filaments
are hairy at base.

Composite. Seems to be Gnaphalium with extens
fl, futilis & but heads are solitary on peduncles
3 in long terminating short branches axillary
with a few lsa bracts. Stv peduncularly ↓
white, hoarsely so beneath & somewhat the
broald. rounded, linear, wirless, scales very partly
cloaping, margins strongly revolute & perhaps
not quite entire. Scales in denal rows, leasins
yellowish brown. Receptacle flat Pappus
of few hairs. Achenes for 6. pubescent. Base ↓
achene a grey bald & coraceous cap where joint
of attachment to receptacle is not in exact center.
St. woody. 2-24-30 Bellver. Small stages
anthers show no signs of being failed.
