4-25-30 Linaria triphylla Mill (see 3-17-30) F-P V advanced fr. Field at train stop near Maricent on path to Denver. Fl pale yellow, palate deep yellow, pour purplish L's sometimes scattered. Seeds triangular very rough, pods show markings in what prob. will be teeth. Beak outstanding & reflexed. ? E. serrata L. See 11-14-30. 4-25-30 Euphorbia (see ?? E. platophylla 3-14-30) F-P V well advanced fr. Denver. Claws yellow more or less truncate & toothed sometimes with a more marked teeth at corners. This is prob. not E. platophylla but should be sought among E. with crescent shaped glands. Seeds (not yet ripe) smooth & white. 4-25-30 Bromus sterilis L. var rubens Kn I 335 = B. rubens L. Bas 509 in due Bee but lemmas (in fl) not as angular on back as aug. Bee. Suff not old enough to see if "curves end below" Bee. Note lem. na bidentate only from 1mm & away placed 4mm from extreme tip. Awn ± 1½ x as long as lemma, reddish. Glumes are unequal, very sharp & widely scarious on margins
