Forest. 2-14-30? Myoporum laetum, BM C.P768 Fl. Tree (small) in garden hotel Cas Catala (end stream) On twig collected 1 pair of sep. the others above bearing fls in axils. Lvs 2-3 ½ in long fine, blunt [illegible] lanceolate, acute, narrowed at base, bright green, almost fleshy, seem to be entire, very slightly roughened on edge above middle. Possibly with pellucid glands (See also Riviera Nature Notes 196). Fls sessile in axillary fascicles. Calyx lobes blunt triangular 5; Corolla Tube blunt, limb almost regular 5 rounded lobes ½-¾ in across. White with definite purple spots in throat, hairy in throat & somewhat on lobes. Stamens 4, and sometimes a 5th underdeveloped. Filaments attached near base of tube & shortly exserted. Style simple, hairy, making curving in when wet in positive white & stamen would be expected. No further exserted than stamens, 3 stigmatic spots on unlayered apex. Ovary superior, 3 celled with 1 ovule in each cell (sometimes 2 ovuled in some cells & sometimes 3rd cell seems abortive). Ovules almost pendulous i.e. attached very near top. (N.B. Case Veyrat Valencia cat. from Dr Cardell adv. p 37 Anthoecris = Myoporum pictum) See Knoche I 61.
