4-18-30 lateral nerves distinct, intermediate ones less so. Rough area from base of leaf to 4 1/2 cm. Pale much like B. undecorus. 4-18-30 Compositae Fl. Porto-Tx. west end of lower bridge (a causeway). Exterior fl platform v & interior tubular yellow? [Prob. (A) Conyza ambigua DC. Kuit 448, Bar 238, [see Bon Flegeon crispus Purd] or] (B) Erigeron canadensis L. Kuit 449, Bar 238, Bon 161, R VH 357 (still). St 1/5 in high, stout, ridged, branch. ed from base to top. definitely hairy; some hairs shorts appeared, others longer v spreading not (horny eye) articulated (Bar 239) & no equally hairy both sides, not ciliate. lower lvs lanceolate o x 1/2 in overall, with about 3 ratices deeply cut lobose each side varnished toothed besides, lobos teeth obscure mucronate, the lower 1/3 of it narrowing to a broad petiole. upper lo progressively narrower & less toothed, some having a few long white hairs on edges at base. All branches terminate in racemes. Pedicels 1/2 in bractel (bracts) lower ones ify longer than pedicels. Heads 6 mm high x 5 mm diam. Invol bracts linear hairy, purple tipped, 5 x 4 fls dirty white [pale yellow] into the yellow [aquenicle]
