Early bud Bellver pathless from gate. Impossible
to determine whether L. gallicum L. Kn II/34, Bas 73
or L. strictum, Kn II/35, Bas 74. Petals yellow. Lower/
erved (an occasional upper one 3-nered) &
pedicels in axils of low main st. upright with
several much shorter st. from near base. Main
st also branching near top but these branches show
no sign of being "pubescentes praellads internis"
Lower lvs about 1/2 in long, upper lvs almost 1 in long.
Lvs distinctly rough on margins on both sides.
petals unequal, rough like lvs with stalked
glands towards base. (See 11-27-30)
4-10-30 ? Campanula crinosa L. Kn II/42, Bas
297, Brd 200. Early bud Bellver. 9 delicate upright
branches from base, grape-like green v hairy well
parts. Lvs all alt., ovate with coarse rounded
teeth, rounded at apex, narrowed to acute
base. St. angled. In upper axils a slender
st 3/2 in long with at its top 2 small 3-lobed leaf-like
bracts v analous & several bud and what is evidently
a bud of a similar station. The most advanced
buds at this time are off the uppermost of
which bears in its axil a stem like
