base) St. leafy almost to bud (4 lps not counting
1 or more within ones below) St. reddish at base. Lvs
glaucous flat 7-9 mm at base stiff pale, leeked,
flatious, lique, short, tough, white, entire.
This rules out A. paniculatum L var pallens Baker
v A. nigrum L. v A. venale L. Buds too young to clear
Spathe at this stage with long green tip. Perhaps
A. rotundum L var ampeloseracum Kn I 368, = A.
ampelosracem L Bas 457, Bor 297.

also "dentato-asperae". 2 lateral bracts about par to 1-2
times as long as fl; the 3rd bracts long par to 9 times
as long as fr.
