Each leaf except these small ones at base of long stems has 2 small leaves in axil. Infl. capitate, terminal on last season's twig. Calyx 2-lipped, the upper lip flat with its sharp edges stiff-white hairy. 3-toothed but teeth not "pequeñitos y delintes" medios mas cortos." Lower lip of 3 teeth, and shaped very pectinate with stiff white hairs. Calyx densely bearded in throat. Seeds seem round globose.
