acute, entire, coarse ciliate at base, sessile thickly sprinkled with resinous glands, crenulated with odor suggesting furniture erish. Internodes never longer than two even on young shoots & at base of plants where leaves are only 3mm. long they are closely crowded overlapping. Each leaf except these small ones at base of long stems has 2 small leaves in axil. Infl. capitate, terminal on last season's twig. Calyx 2-lipped, the upper lip flat with its sharp edges stiff-white hairy. 3-toothed but teeth not "pequeñitos y delintes" medios mas cortos." Lower lip of 3 teeth, and shaped very pectinate with stiff white hairs. Calyx densely bearded in throat. Seeds seem round globose. This seems only seen in Bar. but unsatisfactory (see 11-17-30) 3-20-36 Featuca geniculata Willd. var tenuis (see 3-19-36) FL.
