celestite and other minerals. The beds at base of Lloydpot are heavy with zones of thinner beds. They are also more crystalline [granular] and of lighter color than those at the top or those at Hamilton. Lloyd pot transition. There is a sharp contact between this zone and the Lloyd pot dolomite although the character of the material is not very different. The dolomites are firm while the top of the trans- sition breaks down into small once [a less] cubical pieces. Any few joints are seen here at the tops. The basal 3 feet of the Lloyd pot dol also shows [the material having been rolled] and filled structure, into distinctly mud and lads. This bed is better added to the transition zone because it too breaks down into small pieces but what all or are dirty as the beds below. These transition beds are seen to spread ad- vantage just north of the Balchmans hole [thickness] Transition zone about 8 feet.
