"and three months
It costs about $30,000 to drill a well
and as there are already 30 of them,
means an investment of nine million dollars. The
Humphreys Co is getting $12 per barrel, and
others at about $1 25.
If the Humphreys Co get
40,000 barrels each day for one year the
value will be about 26 million dollars for
14,560,000 barrels.
The surface rock is the Ordovay lime-
stone having a thickness of about 170 feet. Then
through the whole of the Upper Cretaceous. This
limestone in the oil field is arched trending
north and south. To the north it is thrown to the
faulted more than once. The faulting goes
through the whole of the Cretaceous into the
Ordovay. As that is nothing younger we can
gof say that the faulting is of just Ordovay
age. This system faulting may be the cul-
mination of the Balomas Fault. The blocks
are set down to the east and raised to the west.
The structure is about as in the next page.
