The Scandimarian flora is one of the best marked of Northern Hemisphere floras. Simply it consists of about 800 species. These northern cold climate floras have a very wide distribution especially in the Northern Hemisphere, but spread along the mountain ranges into the Northern Hemisphere of South America into Chile. Of the Scandina- nian flora about 75 species occur in Chile. (In conversation with Prof. Fernald at Buxley Cure, Newfound-land, August 20-1910).
