Clinton. The thin bedded brown Clinton district overlaps the Medina. The contact is more or less conformable but with distinct bottom irregularities. The contact is very marked where the Medina is cross-bedded. It looks as if there is here 8 to 9 feet of thin bedded Clinton followed by the heavy bed which is here only 4 1/2 feet thick. Rocheata. Rests with sharp contact on the departed of Clinton. The latter is a hard gray crystalline limestone followed without transition by the Rocheata hardened blue shales, reptile with the regular gypsum. There may be 26 feet of Rocheata.
