Granford trail at 11.40 and port to head start at 1.10. Distance harkled about 6 1/2 miles and climbed of 2385 feet. Got back very tired but not exhausted. Took life easy all afternoon and evening. Thursday Aug 16 1928 A bright hot day. Took a fort mile tramp after breakfast and then wrote a synopsis of Dominica. Friday Aug. 17-1928 A bright sultry day, walked over along railway to The Pleasant Hotel (3 1/2 miles) and back again to Hotel Mount Washington. At 11 A.M. started trail at Granford House at 12.10; note 3 miles per hour.
