"After dinner drive to the Big
Springs and then to Allen Shuntel
quarry. These horizons in Trenton
limestone with some thin bands of
shale. Clearer the springs than the
Hunt quarry is while I found that
little species of Terebratula and
these are also in the Trenton limestone.
The springs come out just above
the green shale. From this level
to the general level of the county
is at least 125 feet, the thickness
of the galena.
About four o'clock started
for Kykoff!"
