buff" in the vicinity of Beloit.
Possibly rather rare but fairly
well preserved as casts, bought
of one of the men in the quarry
a few fossils for which I paid
him 50 c. Stopped over night
in Rockton at the New
England House.

Reached there fetched my fossils
and started for Porters Five miles
east on C. M. St. Paul R.R.
