Spent the greater part of the day in the
rail road cut. Collected several thread
D. monosetae.
For an hour in the morning visited
the quarry in the field to the north of
the rail road cut about 4/5 mile and
east of the turnpike. Stopped in the
courge beds.
In the afternoon spent two hours
at a place over by the quarry in
the fields. This is the highest Hamilton
beds and has A. spinifexides, Clypsea
L. lamna and J. macroon,

Sunday. Spent the day with Geo.
Kemchaw and McCannan at
Salt Lick Well. Paid $5 cents for the
use of a horse. Five are grand
up from the Hamiltons. Gained
old small things since I came up
town to spend several days.
