Mexico City Sep 5 Wednesday. Visited the School of Mines opposite the grand new Post Office building. In the entrance of the lower floor are large magnificent meteorites. Hacienda de S. Ignacio 10,100 Kilo. Chupaderos 6767 Kilos. Jacatecas 78 Kil. De Cempoton 332 Kil. Chupaderos 14,114 kilos. A good campasse of an Aplystrum found in the rally of Tequixquiteac. Considerable teeth and tusks of Elephas. The horse jaws and skulls of Bison A good skull of pregnant Elephas primigenius Americana in Cempoton, Tequixquiteac. The material is greyish cream colored soft sandy material. Also mastodon material. A fair find bone of Bison latifrons again for the rally of Tequixquiteac. In fact all the Quaternary material is for this place. Castillo's only give five breccias for Carbon to the near in the pits between Tehuacan and the north end Oaxaca on the east. The areas are all smaller. In general the collections are fair but not well shown nor are the minerals of the fine crystalline
