C. Reinert of the Oaxaca Onyx Co.
At the summit at Las Lolas orchid - just
min of the valley of Oaxaca.
At Magdalena we an received by the Onyx Co
and treated to Champagne. Hundreds of natives in
car to our reception, they share two
picnics. They also gave away onyx souvenirs
and the drug table to pass give to Mrs
Ordóñez. Ordóñez has $20 for it.
The Onyx mines at Magdalena are one in
Jocotitlán. I'm on a flat ledge upon a ridge for a
day.
We had to hustle ourselves away to start at
five P.M. Amid the noise of the natives and
the shooting of pistols or stars. The Oaxacan
valley is a small narrow one and is as
fertile as that of Tehuacán.
