From hearing Lorna Cretacoom streets appear
P.O.P. Texarcana. There is some orn-budding and
the sands give me the idea of Continental departs.
San Antonio Texas. Saturday Aug.18.
Arrived on time this morning at 6.30. With Miss
Breed walked up to Menjus Hotel and had breakfast. In
front of the opera is a Plaza and in the next block to
Menjus Hotel is the old Alamos. After breakfast walked
around and took some pictures returning to the train by
9.30. With cards and three miles and then started at
16.20 for Mexico.
San Antonio is long as as a rule half built
but here are there an beautiful buildings facing Plazas
and away from the center are some splendid residences.
The place of the town is quite unlike anything north.
Bananas, palms, oleanders and other trees and shrubs
unlike those of the south. Flowers everywhere.
The population is very mixed. Mexicans and apparent-
ly Indians are everywhere. Also a peculiar blonde half
white type I report. White male kinds with many
generans. The latter can reflected in the signs as
"Halle der Obermanns-söhne"
Many of the houses are frame. Brick as a rule
