The 40 foot thick fall near by the chute and
a decide limestone Onondaga having a thickness
of 30 feet. These higher beds we did not see
except from the Mt. Marion station and
on the train going back to Kingston, It is the
Corniferous that makes the upper and middle
falls in the Esopus Creek while the lower
or small fall is on the top of the Onondaga.
