The 40 foot thick fall near by the chute and a decide limestone Onondaga having a thickness of 30 feet. These higher beds we did not see except from the Mt. Marion station and on the train going back to Kingston, It is the Corniferous that makes the upper and middle falls in the Esopus Creek while the lower or small fall is on the top of the Onondaga.
