En Route to Tucson, Jan 14. Friday. Set up at 7 A.M. near Del Rio and in the dinner saw the Devils River overay and shortly after wards the high bridge on the Pecos River. At 11.30 A.M. one are at San Beran. The train moves as regularly and the various stations are passed in time. Set to El Paso at 8.05 P.M. and here one get dinner. Time Train = 7.05 P.M. It is cold and windy here. Had my fourth view of the Marathon Basin and the Gran Mts - a glorious view it was to- Tucson, 1 and 2 P.M. Retired early as I set off at 4 A.M. at Tucson. Tucson, Arizona, Jan 15- Saturday Bothered at 4 A.M. in a moonlight madm ealy morning. Could not get a room at the Santa Rita. or went across the street to the Hotel PostRife. Then went over to the University, and in the grounds met Lescott who is visiting here at Tucson. Then called on Dean Butler and Dr. R.
