he has seen in Guadalajara as much as 1000
foot a depth of granite - with large granite boul-
ders. Age probably Jurassic. The granite mass
constitutes an ancient granitic land to the east=
any Llanoria. David Le had also seen Triassic
but I much doubt this. It seemed to me that
he had but little of his geology in final dated
order.

For an hour showed Horton my paleog-
ographic maps and explained to him Llanoria
and the Mexican Paleozoic geosynclines.
Got into the sleeper at 10 P.M. Hand an
