Sep. 26 - 1909 Sunday.
Left St Louis at 8.30 A.M. on the Drabolt
and arrived at Champaign at 1.15 P.M.
Spent the afternoon and evening with Prof. Gorge Saraje.
The Edgewood occurs near Bilmington Ill as a thin bedded limestone of about 10 feet thick.
It has the same fauna as that of the Cope Bir- ardean area.
The Thebes (Richmond) is also here below which in the Fernvale Richmond. No connection with Edgft
The Calhoun Cr Devonian is not so thick as that of Callaway Co Iowa and has a different fauna. May this be a different horizon or are there here other barriers than the Kanabate.
Dill send me photos of the Snyder Creek fault, a section of the Devonian above the Nojurn nd beneath the Kinderhorn, and a third showing the Devonian - Kinderhorn contacts within 20 feet.
