March 10-98 Springfield & Morris. Found the Woodburn triangle in th [illegible] the State Capitol. The place is very dirty, dark and extremely hot, or that I could not see them to advantage. There are 65 boxes and and weigh one ton. Whites labels an etles with them. They certainly do not appear to be worth $200 the price asked for by Mr. Armstrong. Received a telegram from Cairo asking me to come to Morris and meet Mr. Davis. This would give me a chance also to see Mr. Armstrong. Left for Morris at 10.45 A.M. The State of Illinois purchased the Dasher collection which was exhibited at World's Columbian Exposition, and the can donate to the state University at Champaign.
