I never saw a private collection or that much, any public collection in the high state of perfection of the Drachsmith and Springs collection! There are quite a number of starfishes in the collection. It is the material returned by Percy Sladen. Mrs. Drachsmith will loan it to me but I cannot also obtain Mr. Sherriffs consent, other a few delicacies for microscopy. This collection is the property of Drachs- mith and Springs but eventually it is to go to either the Museum of Comparative Zoology, the Smithsonian, the American Museum of Natural History or the Field Museum. The books under- stand are to be the property of Mr. Sherriff. The collection is first to go to Springs if he desire it and he does I understand. I take it that he was here to pay
