"one of corals I ever saw. Every species is well segmented and Mr. Davis appears to be very careful in specific differentiation and "conservative" as to species. The collection is for sale but the price evidently will be high. Mr. Davis has worked out much of his material with acid. He never uses more than half a cup of acid to a casket of corals. Then he allows the casket thoroughly dry before placing in the acid some fine specimen slightly more acidic than dried one. An iron spatula and small clean jarppies is dipped over the species. One mile north of Brooke station south Louisville is the Davy (Kentucky) locality. The Niagara and Corwin localities are to the east Louis-
