Magnificient sunset lasting from 7.45 to 9.30, indescrib- ably beautiful — blue horizon against Orson River, golden fumished stream of light — flinting caps on Mts of Roussak, lifting glaciers, and reflecting on tops and in cratu. Saw whales near Parkal. Inland ice seen near — frigid, numerous top and ice around. The Rajat at sunset beyond description.
