Sep 5-97 Sunday. Graham The storm continued to blow during the night and much rain fell. The ship threw jolted and rolled much and with the pain in my hand I slept little last night. I arrived in Graham at 8 a.m. just time to avoid another storm. The natives came around all day with various things to sell. Much stuff is purchased. I again undergo two very painful cleanings of my finger. More painful moments than those I had them supplied. I remain aboard all the day. In White's journal he says, All passengers in foreground are alarmed about great meteorite which seemed to fall. Have severe headache all day. Schuckart suffers less pain in hand, but still confined to berth. It is a wild windy night.
