I must not drink any liquor on account of my hand now in spasm at this meal, its place is taken by ice cream. For desert one has large very ripe raw berries with sugar and milk. They are very good. Half an hour later in another room the parlor bed room coffee is served with cake which has raisins. This afternoon my hand pains are very much and I am writing these notes for distraction. For supper one has tried breast meat of Trutto which is very good but I am not in condition to do it justice. The day is cloudy and it threatens to rain tonight or tomorrow. Ground frozen at sea level at night. Sep. 3-97 Friday SarKoll Had another bad night to which I awoke in part assisted by the feather bed. She is hot that by the time I go to sleep awake up with a fright- mare and find myself in a sweat. This
