Perry Ostro Reberth of Boston Post left the ship at Cape Rethus. Aug 7-97 Saturday Brodham, Greenland. We expected to arrive in Brodhavn at any hour during the night. It however proves that we came on the coast of Greenland much farther south than were at first thought possible. At least one did not arrive at Brodhavn before 8:30 this morning. Brodhavn cannot be seen from the sea, the great almost precipitous cliffs of 2300 feet are in front of us that a low land mass of some miles extends behind which is the bay. The village of Brodhavn is situated on the peninsula and consists of the Inspector's house, the Governor's house, a storage house, a church and fourteen native houses.
