Washington to Augusta Springs Sep. 7 - 1902. Sunday. Left on the C & O. R. R. at 2 P. M. and arrived at Augusta Springs at 7.25. P.M. Coming towards Charlottesville one begins to see the Blue Ridge and the villages is to the east of the first range. From here to near Basic City the railroad passes through the Blue Ridges. There are several of these and the topography is rugged and the lines not so even as those of the Appalachian to the west. At Basic City there is round chest and I surmise there are good outcrops here of Reellmantown. These chests extend for a half mile E. of the station. Approaching Buffalo Gap the view runs rapidly through this pretty but
