Of the Mamaranite about 200 feet can be seen on end from the road. Then the sandstone becomes redish and in about 300 feet more follows the Martinburg? where I found the fossils along the road side in loose stuff. The top of the Martinburg has arnaaceous lime- stone seams which have a Lorraine fauna. Collected here Rafinesquina alternate, Stephanome flumcom. reoxa, Gyrospira modesta, Anbrysthia, Modistifor: z op., Orthorthochula linnyi, Rafinesquina like nasute,
