Sunday Sept 16 -2- (19) G again reiterated that you can't separate funiculus & polypide ie J, body wall + p, are all one animal & function as such. 3. Bilaminate form of Flustra examined unstained. Funicular strands from plexus throughout wall & appear as highly birefringent beads - ∞∞ this feature is characteristic of all spp. of Flustra (generic characters); they are lipids. (do not know what specifically) 4. G says cresyn blue is a much better general stain for bg. We were looking at m.b. stained material because G was after Hiller's plexus. 5. looked at muscles in Flustra opercula muscle parietal tentacles m series parietal m My diagram here is schematic not nec. correct as I have quickly roughed it. 6.
