Oct 21 - Liverpool.
The day opens without rain but
the smoke of the city is so thick
that one sees little of a clear sun.
Walled around a little and
town to the hotel to make my de-
parture for the ship.
Left the dock at 2.20 P.M.
As we go out the Cedric and
Southland put in to take on passen-
gers. My room mate is a young doctor
