(89) needed to eat, together with Huffer - First time for me on raw lin. not pork. All right, when one is hungry. Four igloos here + I am quartered in that of Magnus, an energetic and an- vicious young man - No board lining to this igloo, merely walls of turf, sorted over with turf resting on a few sticks and plants. South floor: [illegible] One cut window + one little one of a very small pane of glass. Very unattractive even as compared with the Cape York district igloos as I know them - but I presume that they are not as attractive now as when weather is drawing near as they were during the summer, when the cold keeps down some of their bad features - The seal was brought in and Magnus' wife had it cut up and the stom punched in short order. I had some boiled seal meat + coffee for lunch. The women were very grateful for the cup of tea, sugar and bread that I brought them. Cornelius is a very weak member of the family but it seems best to keep him - In fact I doubt whether I could do anything else, for it is not likely that I could get Magnus to go on in his place - He scarcely keeps within hailing distance when I am heading. Sanity is some what better, perhaps -
